NICK WACHTER Nick Wachter  has been an associate with us since February 2003.  He is a native of Pottsville where he currently resides. He serves families that call on Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home.  Nick is also a Certified Celebrant. If you are not a member of a church or if you simply do not wish to have a religious service, he can help you. As a Certified Celebrant, Nick works with families to create a meaningful tribute that reflects the personality and life-style of the deceased. He received his training and certification from the In-Sight Institute.

Additional comments: Kniffen Funeral Home has been burying the Langes since 1900. I have a receipt from 1912 for a family member! We've always felt comfortable and almost "at home" at this most convenient location. The staff is like our family, and conduct themselves professionally, while maintaining a friendly and compassionate manner. This has been true from the late Harry Hyman, down through, and including the current staff. My thanks and praise for Nick and Rachel they are both wonderful people to deal with. I hope there are no plans to vacate this site. Having a neighborhood funeral home IS important to me as I contemplate making my own pre-arrangements very soon.

He was also kind, caring and compassioniate. When Nick first came to us to handle the interment for our beloved Grandson, he stayed with us and comforted us.
