YORK – William G. Kauffman, 93, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012 at Manor Care – Dallastown. He was the husband of Florence V. (Moul) Kauffman to whom he was married for 71 years on Dec. 7, 2011. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Betty Frey, Certified Celebrant officiating. A viewing will be held from 9-10:00 AM Thursday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Born May 13, 1918 in York a son of the late Guy and Maria (Krone) Kauffman, he retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad after 41 years of service. Mr. Kauffman enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking, and was a devoted family man. In addition to his wife, Mr. Kauffman is survived by a daughter, Donita M. and husband Kenneth Stoutzenberger of York; a son, Ronald W. Kauffman of York; two granddaughters, Kendra Stoutzenberger and Kimberly S. Kauffman; two great grandsons; two brothers, Donald and Charles Kauffman both of York; and two sisters, Evelyn Poe and Caroline Rugh both of York. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Maurice and Elmer Kauffman; and four sisters, Genevieve Shorts, Grace Beitzel, Louise Wagner, and Phyllis Kauffman.
