WIlKES-BARRE-Phillip Delzeit, 74, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. Born in Mountain Top on April 21, 1938, he was a son of the late Fredrick J. and Mary (Phillips) Delzeit. He was a graduate of Meyer’s High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a police officer in Centralia for 2 years and was later employed as Chief of Security at four state hospitals. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frederick Delzeit. Surviving is his wife of 43 years, the former Patricia J. Johnson; a son, Jason Delzeit of Wilkes-Barre; a daughter Monica Alba and her husband Leonard of Wilkes-Barre; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.
